Should have scaled more….however the DUs were easier today. Thanks for the tips on breathing G!

    Happy Birthday Fil !!

My torn up hands need a day off. Good job 8:30. Way to crush it Jessica.

Arms were dead from yesterday’s WOD. I should have scaled more on the pullups.

Happy birthday LandFil! I guess you have a perfect excuse for missing 6:30 AM

Did this WOD at home this morning.
95# DL, push ups, 22″ box, 35# KB
I think I could’ve done a little better but home WODs aren’t the same, less push more distractions. Not to mention I meant to grab the 26# KB and used the 35# instead. The second set was so slow but by the time I noticed I only had 15 to go so I just stuck with it. HBD FIL!!

  7. Chief

    11:26 scaled to half the reps; #65 DL; green band pull ups; #18 KB; singles; #18 step ups;

  8. The Professor

    20:48 (150 singles) [pull-ups were rough today following yesterday’s 100]

Thanks for spreading the word, G!

Calf work today was either the best or worst thing that has ever happened to me at the box – I’m still not sure which…

  9. andi

(DL135, ring pullups for obvious reasons)

I agree professor, hated the calf torture but my box jumps seemed mysteriously more efficient today

    20:00 (155#, black band, 18″ or 20″, 44#, 100 singles)

Did ring rows for the first ten reps of the second go-around of pull-ups, thinking they’d be easier. They were not.

I thought I’d grabbed 20″ box but I think it may have been 18″. Whatever.

Had planned to do 30 DUs but after that kettlebell swing, I knew they were not happening today. The KBS killed me. I think it was actually 144#, not 44#.

    Happy Birthday, Fil!

    17:53 (135, band, 35, singles).

That was awful & I LOVED it! All day long I really worried about the KB swings, & rightly so, even with the scale since they we the worst part for me.

Excellent working out with the 5ers today! Great job everyone! Awesome class, Thanks Coach Jim!

  12. T-REX

13:45(rx). The peanut gallery was making bets on our class on who would finish first! Any amount of pull-ups programmed after yesterday is just CRUEL! Great work 6pm, thx JB! Happy bday Fil!

    HBD Fil!!
15:25 RX….last set of DL’s felt like 500lbs!! Little moment of victory: my first set of 20 butterfly PU’s of which I did 17 unbroken! Moment of clarity which was immediately followed by 7 minutes of WTF: starting the second set of KB Swings!

  14. Chrissy C

    8:47 (85#/35#/18″/BAPU/150 singles). Scaled the PU/BJ&KB To 1/2 reps.
Great WOD. Love Chippers – oops, sorry Jimmy – ladders.

    Chrissy – it’s a Chipper Ladder πŸ™‚

Not sure if this would help put things in perspective but the loads we used on the DLs yesterday were for the 60+ Masters Men and 55-59 Masters Women in the 2012 CrossFit Games Masters Chipper Event πŸ™‚ But the KB weight was different.
