I got into CrossFit in 2009. I used to go to a local gym and took Grace Patenaude's classes. One day I stopped seeing her at the gym and I was really sad about it because she was a great fitness instructor and wondered what happened to her. One night I was at Target and guess who I saw, Grace! I asked her where has she been?? She told me she had her own gym. That week I registered for a class at her gym and she had me do a little WOD. After that day I never looked back. I’ve been with Atomic for more than 12 years now. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life.
I am a coach by day and an ICU/Rapid Response nurse by night at one of the largest medical centers in the world for 25 years now. So if you are in my class, you are in good hands!!
When I first started CrossFit I was your typical soccer/swim mom. I tried to stay in shape, but not really happy and felt like I was not seeing any results. CrossFit gave me the results I wanted and so much more. I could go on and on, on what the CrossFit community has given me and continues to give me.
I love coaching and talking to people about how great the CrossFit methodology is. It is for anybody and everybody. I love coaching different ages and capabilities. At the end of the day, we all do the same thing whether you are a scaled or RX athlete!
